"...a
deftly calibrated explosion of dancer buff bodies and rock and roll
hearts" - VILLAGE VOICE
In 1995, SLANT premiered Big
Dicks Asian Men to critical acclaim at New York Citys
landmark experimental theater, La Mama E.T.C. Since then, they have
created nine original theatrical productions of high energy performance
art. All of SLANT's shows involve live original music written by
the three members, Wayland Quintero, Richard Ebihara, and Perry
Yung. The shows are a confluence of puppetry, guitars, drums, voice,
and bamboo flutes. The New York Times describes SLANT as
"Three extremely talented young Asian American men".
"Through dance, rock, and inventive
dialogue, their pithy lesson induce convulsive laughter that makes
their medicine easy to swallow and long-lasting. They polish their
limber bodies and deadly wit with a chamois
drenched in a winning sense of fun". - The Philadelphia
Weekly
