Japan Tenri Tours To celebrate my 30th year of Tenri Tours I have created this once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan! While the central theme of my trips is always Shakuhachi, this year I am delighted to be able to include a taste of Basho. We will be traveling along the road made famous in Basho's most famous book of travels and haiku poetry "Narrow Road to the Deep North" (Oku No Hosomichi). We will be visiting places that are both mentioned in Basho's famous travelogue and are also important historically to Shakuhachi. KiSuiAn Shakuhachi Camp We will have our 10th year of Shakuhachi Camp in a wonderful location that we used for the first time in 2007. It will be at the Temenos Retreat Center located at 1564 Telegraph Road (Route 162) in West Chester, PA 19382. It begins at 12:00PM Friday, and ends Monday afternoon at 12:00PM. In addition to Shakuhachi players of all levels, Koto and Shamisen players are invited as well, to what will certainly be an informative and rewarding experience!
